Are there are other costs we should know about?
One additional cost to be borne by teams are the Travel and Lodging costs for teams that are fortunate enough to advance to the State, Regional and National Championships. As we have in the past two years, every effort will be made to provide detailed Travel and Lodging information to those teams that qualify for the Regional and National events so as to provide enough time to minimize costs as best we can.
What are the age requirements for WSoL?
Players for the 8th Grade Boys and 8th Grade Girls level must be in the 8th grade (or 7th Grade) in Spring 2012 and must not turn 15 years old prior to Sept. 1, 2012.
Players for the 6th Grade Boys level must be in the 6th grade (or 5th Grade) in Spring 2012 and must not turn 13 years old prior to Sept. 1, 2012.
Any older or younger exceptions must be approved through the WSoL Waiver process.
Are WSoL games safe?
WSOL is taking extensive measures to educate coaches and to provide experienced officials to ensure as safe a playing experience as is possible. As with any athletic event, there are unavoidable situations that may occur but we take every measure to minimize them.
